Friends of the Foundation reunited at J.K. Place in Rome
The “family evenings” organized by the Biomedical University Foundation continue: at the J.K. Place, welcomed by his friend Eduardo Safdie, the Foundation presented the development projects of the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome to friends and donors.
The evening, introduced by Gianni Letta and Greg Burke, was attended by entrepreneurs, high-ranking officials from different institutions and leaders of Campus Bio-Medico University.
“Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome is truly extraordinary for its ultra-modern and technologically advanced equipment” – Gianni Letta remarked – “but it is its ethos that makes it a different University, reflected in the way of teaching, studying, and training doctors to assist patients. Technology today may seem to ensure endless progress, but without values it remains incomplete.”
Greg Burke, Director of the Vatican Press Office, in memory of Joaquín Navarro-Valls, urged to support the Endowment Fund which in Italy might seems a bit extravagant, however it is also a solid means to contribute to the growth of ‘University and the strengthening of scientific research in projects with a high social impact.
Finally, the actress Gina Lollobrigida, just returned from Los Angeles after having laid her “Walk of Fame” star in Hollywood, renewed her commitment to join the Foundation through the auctioning of a sculpture created with the entrepreneur Horacio Pagani.
“The evening of February 6th, with the topics covered and the contributions of friends and Founders whom I thank, confirmed the common desire to support the growth of Campus Bio-Medico University” – President Paolo Arullani observed – “The goal of the Foundation, in fact, is to create an Endowment Fund to support over time the development of the University and its research “.
