The Biomedical University Foundation’s main trait is having a clear vision made up of tangible goals – past and future – and also having built deeprooted relationships. Unfortunately, due to the global pandemic, for a while we had been missing social events organized by the Foundation, key occasions to strengthen relationships and to help projects and new initiatives flourish.
The midsummer cocktail party of the Biomedical University Foundation was held in Rome on 22nd July on the roof garden of the Grand Hotel de la Minerve. It was an opportunity to meet friends, acquaintances, donors and stakeholders and to present the project for the new Learning Center of Campus Bio-Medico University.
The event was opened by our President, Prof. Paolo Arullani, who illustrated how active the Foundation has remained, despite the global pandemic, by carrying out projects and supporting activities of the University and the Polyclinic. Subsequently, Andrea Rossi, General Director of the University, illustrated the new Learning Center under construction: an innovative building, designed according to the highest international standards of quality, technology and efficiency, where there will be classrooms, meeting rooms, a simulation center, a chapel and informal learning areas. A building designed with “sustainability” at its core, a place to train students and teachers in ecological transition and digital innovation, a space for the contamination of knowledge and the cross-fertilization of skills and knowledge. In addition, Ambassador Giovanni Castellaneta illustrated the Foundation’s commitment to internationalization and the attempt to involve US donors in projects with a high social impact. The closing remarks were given by Gianni Letta, a long-standing enthusiast of the Biomedical University Foundation, who thanks to his extraordinary oratory skills was able to reconstruct the major steps of Campus Bio-Medico University’s growth and the Foundation’s development over the years, highlighting the distinctive characteristics and values.
The event continued with an aperitif on the roof garden admiring the beauty of Rome, sharing projects and activities in a friendly atmosphere.
