Opening of our Covid Center with 40 regular beds including 9 intensive therapy beds
In the early months of the Covid-19 emergency we have guaranteed the swabs analysis of the ASL Roma 6 territory within the Lazio regional network and we were also able to bring to the European arena our experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence for early detection of coronavirus pulmonary problems. In addition, Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome was able to open the doors yesterday of a brand new self-contained, independent and fully-staffed Covid Center. “Thanks to Intesa Sanpaolo’s generous donation to the Civil Protection – including the funds destined to our institution – we were able to quickly transform what would have been shortly after inaugurated as the new Emergency Department (iDea Campus) into a Covid Center with 40 beds, of which 9 in intensive care, an extremely valuable addition in order to support the Lazio regional health system in dealing with the Covid-19 emergency. ” In this endeavor special merit for the making of this extraordinary welfare resource for the community goes to t e Rome Biomedical Campus University Foundation, chaired by Paolo Arullani.
Head of the Regional Directorate of Lazio, Sardinia, Sicily, Abruzzo and Molise of Intesa Sanpaolo.
“Intesa Sanpaolo has contributed, in the Covid-19 emergency phase, by supporting projects that strengthened the Italian healthcare system in order to also bring long-term benefits; this is exemplified by the creation of the Covid Center within Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome. Thanks to our support, it was possible to convert the 2,100 square meters of the Emergency Department and create 40 beds, 9 of which in intensive care. Our commitment confirms what has always been our vocation: to strengthen our communities and therefore for the Italian system. ”
