A precious sculpture created by the actress together with Horacio Pagani, creator of the exclusive supercars. Half of the proceeds will go to the Biomedical University Foundation
During the celebrations for her 90th birthday, last July 4th at Palazzo Torlonia in Rome, Gina Lollobrigida launched an auction of which half of the proceeds will go to the Biomedical University Foundation. An exclusive sculpture in titanium, “Avional” plates (aeronautical aluminum) and carbon was unveiled and put up for auction, made by “Lollo” and the creator of the legendary cars Horacio Pagani, representing the silhouette of a woman who stands next to a car of the future.
Half of the auction’s proceeds will go to the Biomedical University Foundation, which will support strategic scientific research and healthcare at Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome.
“The unifying goal of all the projects – explains Paolo Arullani, President of the Biomedical University Foundation – is effectively captured by Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome’s tag line of ‘Science for Man’, fully in line with Gina’s and Horacio’s will, towards the natural combination of ‘Art and Science for Man’. My and our gratitude goes to them and to the auction participants, in addition to the gratitude of the Foundation, which has as its main purpose that of making Medicine, as well as technology and innovation, also and above all humanity and attention to the individual person”.
