The first step was to open a fund at the King Baudouin Foundation to allow our Foundation to receive donations from the United States.
In the last year, we have raised funds for various research projects – Alzheimer’s Disease, Genetic Research and the fight against infectious diseases such as Covid-19 – whilst also maintaining a focus on the University Development Plan with its own values and characteristics.
Our Foundation’s fund raising initiatives in the United States have the primary goal of contributing to the construction of new buildings at our Campus, given the significant tax breaks for contributors in the USA.
