Held on 28th January 2020 the first meeting of Biomedical University Foundation’s Advisory Board.
From the very onset of Campus Bio-Medico University and of the University Hospital, we have felt a strong need for an external body of international importance to support our Governing Bodies. Already in 1992 we established the International Scientific Committee for the organization of the teaching of the future University formed by about 15 distinguished researchers and professors. The Committee contributed effectively to giving life and solidity to the project, ending its function with the establishment of the CBM Free University Institute.
Years later, the President’s Advisory Committee was set up, headed by Joaquín Navarro-Valls (2007) which later became the Advisory Board of the Biomedical University Foundation.
The Biomedical University Foundation’s Advisory Board is charged with “developing the strategic action plan of the Foundation, increasing its national and international visibility and creating contacts with new donors also at an international level.”, as detailed in the Statute.
During the meeting on 28th January, there was a detailed presentation of the Foundation’s existing commitments, the results achieved in the three-year period 2016-2019, the status of the Endowment fund as well as specific projects in terms of cultural activities.
The meeting illustrated all current commitments and activities, objectives and purposes of the Foundation together with the development projects of the Campus Bio-Medico University, updating the new board which was requested to take an active part in the development of the future of the two institutions, which are inextricably linked to each other.
The meeting was attended by the top management of Campus Bio-Medico University, introduced by Professor Arullani, together with the new members of the Advisory Board.
