The Advisory Board meeting of the Biomedical University Foundation was held in the Council Hall of the Campus Bio-Medico University. The president, Professor Paolo Arullani, opened the event with an overview of the recent developments at the Campus Bio-Medico.
Alessandro Pernigo, President of the Biomedical University Foundation, then outlined the main activities carried out in the past six months, both in Italy and the United States, highlighting the most significant projects and operational strategies.
Subsequently, Paolo Soda, Professor of Information Processing Systems and Research Coordinator of the Departmental Faculty of Engineering, gave a talk in the “Knowledge Pills” format, dedicated to spreading and updating the most current topics in scientific research. Professor Soda specifically illustrated recent developments in the research activities at UCBM on the topic of Artificial Intelligence, highlighting the opportunities, practical applications, and the impact of this emerging technology on collective behaviors, as well as the related ethical challenges.
Finally, Laura Picalarga, Secretary General of the Biomedical University
Foundation, presented the new proposed regulations for the Advisory Board. This proposal integrates the provisions established by the Board of Directors of the Biomedical University Foundation at the time of its formation, specifying the operating criteria of the body.
The meeting provided a productive opportunity for discussion, updates, and the gathering of new and stimulating ideas from the members of the Advisory Board.
